pixelpoint awarded the contract for modeling the economic region of Lausitz

The goal of the call for tenders from the Saxony and Brandenburg Economic Development Agency was to make the model region of Lausitz a physical and interactive long-term experience for investors and interested parties. Pixelpoint’s idea was convincing and was awarded the contract.

The “Lausitz Investor Center” project is intended to attract company expansions and relocations to the Lausitz region of Germany. The tender requirement “to present the economic region as a  model of a modern and sustainable industrial location of the future and to illustrate the ongoing transformation process” now leads to a digital solution from the cross-media agency pixelpoint, in which feratel is involved.

At the center of the modeling of the Lausitz economic region is an interactive map, shown on a 98-inch display. In or on this map, all existing data, numbers and facts from different systems are brought together using the pixelpoint in-house dataCycle data management system, then          visualized and made three-dimensional in space with the help of augmented reality.

Moritz Fleischer, project manager in the Acquisition/Relocation/Inward Investment department of the Saxony Economic Development Agency, explains the decision in favor of pixelpoint as follows: “We liked pixelpoint’s approach right from the start. Use of existing and proven technologies, tools and data promises a basic configuration for our model that can be implemented in the short term, which runs robustly and can be operated without any major training requirements. At the same time, the system offers the flexibility to adapt data in almost any way and to integrate wow effects. The proposed agile methodology is predestined for this step-by-step approach. Last but not least, the pixelpoint project team not only convinced us professionally, but also personally. We look    forward to the cooperation!”
