Why PIA?

The PIA provides guests with useful tips when planning their stay and during the experience on site, and it makes them want more. Culinary apects, points of interest, tours, events, experiences, wellness offers, webcams, ski area information, weather and much more. No information is too much, none too little. No time-consuming research or annoying “being played on” with unwanted information.

The digital holiday companion also serves as a full-fledged guest card app with a detailed view of inclusive/discount services, as well as full integration of the digital guest card. The interplay with electronic guest notification plays a major role here – naturally always in compliance with all GDPR guidelines.

Technically, the PIA relies on the future oriented PWA technology (Progressive Web App). This means that no download from the App Store is necessary and the PIA works independently of the device (on a Smartphone, tablet or even on the desktop at home before arrival, etc.). Shortly before arrival, guests receive an automated welcome email with a link to their individual holiday companion. For mobile use, it is quickly and easily added to the Smartphone’s home screen and the destination is already there. Updates are also a thing of the past, as the guest is always kept up to date.

The PIA stands for optimum information services focused on the guest, places the offer of a destination in the display of the digital terminal device of the guest and increases customer loyalty. Both destination managers and hosts can actively promote upselling via the PIA or get in touch with the guests on-site and thus, e.g., boost creation of added value. And this is always target group-specific.
