Now new and free: open.datahub from feratel

Collecting tourism data from a destination (which are copyright-free and designated as such) in a database – according to defined standards – and making this data freely available to all market participants via a widget and interface is the core idea of open data.

Open data is a possible way to be on board and therefore visible with future market-relevant products and solutions. With “open.datahub”, feratel now offers all customers a free solution to use this data strategy.

open.datahub

On the technical side, feratel relies on the “dataCycle” database, which is operated by the cross-media agency pixelpoint and has numerous interfaces. Destinations decide for themselves whether and in what form they want to participate in open data. Whether for individual projects (closed data) or completely open (open data) with feratel and dataCycle, it is thus not a technical question but a strategic one.

open.datahub (open) and data.Cycle (closed) are the technical basis for the tourism success of tomorrow.
