feratel Deskline wins contract in Italy

After an almost year-long tendering process by the Italian Ministry of Tourism, the die is cast: feratel will provide five more regions with its Deskline destination management system.

In 2022/23, numerous providers were qualified to match the order to implement a destination management system for a total of five regions in the tendering process of the Italian Ministry of Tourism.
feratel was the most convincing and has been commissioned to realize it. The order volume is in the seven-digit Euro range.

The feratel Deskline destination management system has been in use here since 2010, including – after international tenders – in Trentino, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Abruzzo as well as in local destinations such as Bormio, Alassio, Finale Ligure and Ferrara.

The focus is on the powerful content management system for the comprehensive presentation of all tourism products (accommodation, experiences, excursion destinations, gastronomy, events, etc.) and their online bookability on a wide variety of channels such as destination websites and company websites, apps and portals.

Deskline is a comprehensive tourist solution that meets all the requirements of modern destination management. As an information, marketing and booking system, the system supports both B2C (end-customers) and B2B (for travel agencies and booking portals) functionalities and offers an extensive back office area with billing and payment functionalities. Modern online access and powerful interfaces for 150 hotel programs and experience providers are available for the integration of all service partners.

With Deskline, regions have a system with a whole range of different modules, such as an information management system with an event calendar, a CRM (Customer Relation Management) system, a hotel rating system, a powerful one-stop shop for booking and offering accommodation, packages, experiences and tickets, and much more. A channel management system is also integrated into the system for additional marketing of business operations on 30 connected booking portals, including Airbnb and Booking.com.
