feratel AI plus = Tourism AI with verified destination data

New AI agent solutions access only curated destination content and are delivered across channels in a brand-compliant manner.

A few days before the International Tourism Fair in Berlin (ITB), feratelAIplus is presenting its agent solutions for tourist destinations. The systems combine large language models with verified destination data. The presentation took place during a press conference in Salzburg, with the international launch to follow at the ITB.

At the heart of the system is a data hub that bundles structured tourist content (e.g. accommodation, experiences, events, routes and tours, gastronomy, leisure facilities, snow and piste data, prices, tickets and information on public transport, etc.). The data comes directly from the destinations' operational systems and is continuously updated. Changes are thus immediately available in all connected channels. The language model only takes over the linguistic formulation of the answer, while the content remains controlled.

This gives guests direct access to tourist information via voice, for example via websites or digital concierge solutions. The results can be displayed in a structured format or output as a spoken response.

The solution is not designed as an external chatbot, but is part of a destination's existing digital offerings. The design and user guidance are based on the respective appearance of the destination. This creates an additional interaction channel for guests within their familiar digital environment.

feratel CEO Dr Markus Schröcksnadel sees artificial intelligence in tourism on its way to becoming standard technology: "The decisive factor is not so much the language model itself as the quality of the underlying data," says product manager Prok. Thomas Angerer emphasises that "the systems work exclusively with verified live data," while AI expert Prof. DDr. Roman Egger observes a clear change in usage: "Guests increasingly wanted to request information directly instead of researching it themselves."

Artificial intelligence brings real benefits in tourism, especially where brand-compliant applications meet a reliable database. Only with structured, up-to-date information can dialogue-capable systems work reliably. Once this foundation is in place, AI will evolve from a digital tool to an integral part of the tourism infrastructure.
