Kitzbühel was the first ski resort in the world to use a comprehensive infotainment system for guest communication. feratel realized the project in 2010. The networked audio-visual Digital Signage system consists of 33 individual systems. The content can be quickly and easily program-controlled or manually compiled. With feratel/sitour content, ski lift and ski run information (open/closed), live images from panorama cameras, current weather data, weather forecasts (three-day forecast), hazard warnings, dynamic panorama overview maps of the ski area, etc. can be directly transmitted. Event information can also be transmitted in real-time; restaurant tips and more complete this offering and provide guests with exciting and diverse information, while maintaining optimum orientation and entertainment. Tickers and all kinds of news feeds from the Internet,... all this is possible. The systems are distinguished by high-quality LCD displays, outdoor-friendly housing and an ultra-modern design style.
With feratel’s Digital Signage system, Bergbahn Kitzbühel is able to continuously offer its guests the latest information that is matched to different geographical and time-related needs because ski guests can have diverse information requests in the valley, at the mid-station or top station or in the ski resort itself. And these information needs may also vary at different times of day.
